Marty grew up in Vidalia, Georgia. He has been married to Stephanie for twenty-one years. They have four children ages 20 to 11. Marty is a graduate of the University of Georgia (B.A. Psychology), Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry).
